Putting great British family businesses on the map!

Each year we undertake an innovative event which takes us all over the country getting behind the scenes of a diverse selection of family businesses.

Over the years we have visited a broad range of firms from St Austell Brewery in Cornwall to Johnstons of Elgin and Walkers Shortbread in Aberlour! 

Factory tours, timber yards, garden centres, food production plants and farms have all featured in the visits that enable us to gain first hand experience of the family business sector, undertake tours and gain insights from the management teams.

Many of the visits are open to the broader community such as the tours to Bath Ales, Mactaggart & Mickel, Triumph, Ridgeview Winery and the globally iconic JCB.

The Family Business Road Trip is supported by a full scale social media presence that really does bring the community together and help us to showcase family firms and help us put the family business sector on the map too.
